MILITARY CULTURE TRAINING FOR BUSINESSES
One of Rebecca’s specialized Military Culture Training options, the Military Culture for Businesses Workshop is designed to better equip your governmental and public works organizations to serve – and employ – veteran and active duty military personnel. After their service to the country, thousands of veterans enter the civilian workforce, some with special needs. These needs may include obvious injuries associated with their service, but may also include “invisible injuries,” such mental health struggles, traumatic brain injury and others. The goal of the Military Culture for Businesses Workshop is to help employers understand the benefits of hiring veterans, and to help them get the best outcome out of the veterans that they hire. The teamwork benefits that come from understanding one another can drastically improve the culture and morale in any business.
MUNICIPAL CUSTOMER SERVICE TRAINING
One of Rebecca’s specialized Military Culture Training options, the Municipal Customer Service Workshop is designed to better equip your governmental and public works organizations to serve – and employ – veteran and active duty military personnel. Municipal government touches every citizen’s daily life. From legal provisions of licenses and permits, to emergency services and first responders, to daily necessities of power and water—municipal services impact every person in the community. Military residents and their families make up a large portion of that community. Serving this group well requires an understanding of the military lifestyle challenges, and the impact that deployment and returning to civilian life has on them, their children and their families. The Municipal Customer Service Workshop will provide the understanding necessary to give empathetic communication, and create a productive connection between municipal staff and the people they serve.
HEALTHCARE PROFESSIONALS WORKSHOP
One of Rebecca’s specialized Military Culture Training options, the Healthcare Professionals Workshop is designed to better equip your medical staff, and health organizations to better serve – and employ – veteran and active duty military personnel. Just as substance abuse and personality disorders are areas of specialization, mental healthcare for military personnel has become more and more specialized. Additionally, the longer our troops have been at war, the more specialized care soldiers, veterans and their families need. The Healthcare Professionals Workshop enables therapists and other healthcare professionals to understand the nature and nuances of this specialization so they are able to serve these clients more effectively and with greater understanding.
MILITARY CULTURE FOR EDUCATORS
One of Rebecca’s specialized Military Culture Training options, the Educator’s Military Workshop is designed to better equip teachers, school administrators, and academic staff to better serve and teach children in military homes. Children whose parents are active military personnel have special needs beyond those of their fellow students. These needs are compounded when both parents are in the armed services, or when multiple deployments bring increased havoc in their families’ life. Educators working with these students need to understand their special needs and concerns, not only to be more effective in teaching, but also to refer these students for additional assistance should such be necessary. The Educators Workshop will instruct educators in understanding these needs and identifying students who need special help.
Perfect for any community group or non-profit organization, Rebecca brings a public Military Culture Workshop. Veterans, Active Duty, and families of Deployed military men and women for a large part of most communities. Understanding the difference in military support systems, the challenges military personnel face returning to the workplace, and impact deployment can transform perspectives in every sector. Residents who live near military installations interact regularly with veterans and active-duty personnel. However, those who have never experienced military life firsthand are generally unfamiliar with how that experience has impacted veterans and their families. The Community Workshop increases awareness of the experiences and needs of our servicemen and women, and engenders increased understanding and compassion, ultimately resulting in stronger and more supportive communities.
